Little Red Roaster

Having never really ventured away from my favourite coffee shops, I decided this was time to change. As no. 2 on my Dorset Brunch Guide, this was a great recommendation from a friend!

Based in Ashley Cross, if you fancy a bagel, the Little Red Roaster is the place to go. With a choice of white, brown or seeded bagel, topped with an arrange of toppings, it’s brilliant. Whether vegan, vegetarian or a meat eater, you’ll find something delicous.

Here’s the amazing Bagel Menu at the Little Red Roaster!

‘The Vegetarian’, although too large to eat gracefully, was mighty and of course the first bagel I triend when I visited. With lots of my favourite vegetables and flavours, along with my new found love for gherkins, I chose it straight away!

Although I follow a mainly vegan diet, if I want to eat something, I would never restrict myself, the next visit (4 days after because it was so yummy!), I went straight for the ‘Halloumi Bagel Burger’, and wow, I thought the last one was good! With chilli jam running down my fingers as I attempted to eat this layered sandwhich, I knew I had to blog about this tiny treasure of the south coast.

Along with the fantastic range of bagels, the coffee – which is home roasted – is simply wonderful. Not too strong, just perfect for me, pairing wonderfully with dairy and soya milk. What really struck me was their hot chocolates, made from real chocolate with the options of eaither white, milk or dark I simply must return to try one of these decadent and delicous drinks!

Although no room after my visits, each time I visit, the cakes and biscuits have looked divine. Not forgetting the  pistachio flapjacks, for which I must return too.

Coffee to buy inside the Little Red Roaster

I have to say this tiny and delightful cafe is definitely worth visiting, whether to purchase their home roasted coffee beans or to drop in for an iced coffee, a little gem of Poole.
